Enkel Boks RJ45
Price stated excl. VAT. Linjator box not included.
ENKEL BOKS RJ45 is a full-featured interface system that combines high functionality with simplified cabling. With one UTP cable (TIA/EIA-568B) from the access controller to the box and a separate power cable, the solution provides a more efficient and cost-saving installation without compromising performance. Using decentralized power also removes limitations related to cable spacing, which provides greater freedom and flexibility in the installation. Power can be looped (loop-through) from door to door for further reduction in materials and time. The solution has been developed with regard to requirements in TEK17 for doors and escape routes (including §11-13, §11-14 and §12-13), including fire override and correct configuration of locks in escape routes.
Main features and benefits
- All signals from the access controller are routed in RJ45 wiring (T568B) and are used as control signals for built-in relays in the SINGLE BOX RJ45. This includes, among other things:
- Fire alarm control relay
- Night lock relay (NC)
- Main lock control relay — a specialized relay with a capacity of 8 A is used here, ensuring reliable operation of locks. This relay is designed for a long service life, with an expected operation of up to 25 years.
- Separate relay dedicated to the Elbow Switch input signal, which enables simultaneous use of the Elbow Switch both as a REX control signal for access control and as a signal for automatic door opening (AUTO).
- Independent voltage levels for control and lock (e.g. 12 V control / 24 V lock – or vice versa) via universal relay coil 10–35 V and separate lock voltage.
- Reader support: OSDP (RS-485) and Wiegand can be connected directly via the box for stable and flexible connectivity.
- Decentralized power supply with separate cable up to 2×1.5 mm², which can be looped from door to door for easier installation and lower costs.
- Simplified cable management and standardized termination (TIA/EIA-568B) provide faster commissioning and fewer misconnections.
- Test and status indicators on the circuit board for quick verification during installation, as well as tamper input for secure operation.
- Robust dimensioning: up to 5 A on the circuit board's copper tracks (depending on load and terminal type) for reliable operation of door locks and actuators.
Note: RJ45 is used here as a multi-wire interface (not Ethernet).
