Enkel Boks 10 Par
Price NOK 1,300.00
Enkel Boks brings all the signals at the door — lock, reader, door contact, fire signal and elbow switch — together in one labelled place, following a fixed setup.
Instead of wiring each door from scratch, the fitter follows a ready-made diagram. This makes installation faster and troubleshooting easier — and means the next person who opens the cabinet understands how the door is wired.
Used by locksmiths, installers, project managers and building owners, both in new installations and when modernising older door environments.

From 15–20 hours to around 7.5 hours per door.
In an office building with 12 doors we used 90 hours in total – without pulling a single metre of new cable.
Without a ready-made wiring box we estimate 15–20 hours per door for a comparable door environment.
The actual time saved depends on the door environment and the installer.
Everything is carefully labelled and thoroughly tested. You avoid mix-ups between the night lock, elbow switch and function input – the faults we find most often when troubleshooting. The wiring diagram and data sheet are available to download, so the next installer can see how the door is wired without having to work it out with a meter.
Two locks on one door? Automatic door operator? Emergency release in a fire? The box is prepared for this:
Standardised solutions and clear labelling. No hidden connections or creative shortcuts. You get a system that is easy to understand – and just as easy to maintain, even many years after installation.

Enkel Boks is a ready-made wiring and interface box for doors with access control, developed by Teren AS. It brings the lock, reader, door contact, fire signal and elbow switch together at one labelled point at the door, and is supplied labelled and tested, with a wiring diagram.
In one project, an office building with 12 doors, we used 90 hours – around 7.5 hours per door – and laid 0 metres of new cabling. Without a ready-made wiring box we reckon on 15–20 hours per door (our estimate) in a comparable door environment. The difference is that the box arrives labelled and tested, so the installer does not have to troubleshoot the order of the night lock, elbow switch and function input out at the door. How large the difference is depends on the door environment and who does the installation.
Lock or electric strike, card reader, door contact, fire signal, emergency release and an accessible elbow switch. Each signal has its own labelled point, so that the night lock, elbow switch and function input are not mixed up – the faults we find most often when troubleshooting.
Often not. We always start by looking at what can be reused – in an office building with 12 doors we modernised the whole installation without laying a single metre of new cable. How many conductors are available in the existing cable decides what can be run to the door, and we clarify that together with you.
At their own labelled point in the box, separate from the night lock and function input. The box is prepared for free passage in a fire. How the escape route requirements are met in each individual building, we clarify together with whoever is responsible for the fire alarm system.
For work on the building’s 230 V installation: yes. Enkel Boks is intended for the low-voltage side (12/24 V) and contains no 230 V components. Before start-up, Teren states which power points must be ready. If power is already run to the door, no additional electrician is normally needed.
All signals are labelled, and the box is supplied with a wiring diagram. This makes it possible to measure point by point and see whether the fault is in the lock, in the signal from the reader or in the controller – without first dismantling the door environment. The next installer can see how the door is wired without having to work it out with a meter.
Enkel Boks is developed by Teren AS in Oslo, for Norwegian door environments – Norwegian cabling, Norwegian fire requirements and accessibility requirements. The manufacturing itself is outsourced to an external manufacturer to our specification. We use the box ourselves in our own installations, and supply it to locksmiths and installers who fit it in their own projects.
Enkel Boks has a 2-year warranty.
Enkel Boks is vendor-neutral. The access control system needs a lock output (relay) that supplies +24 V to the box, a REX input for a dry contact and a reader port. An extra scheduled output for the night lock is optional. Reader data (OSDP or Wiegand) is passed straight through. We have wiring diagrams for ARX, AXIS, iLOQ, SALTO and U-PROX, and for Mercury with Enkel Boks 10 Par. We are happy to help with other systems.
The fire alarm panel keeps +24 V on the box’s fire input in normal operation. In a fire, or if the fire wire is broken, the lock and the hold-open magnet release, and both elbow switches can open the door through the door operator. The night lock unlocks when it has constant 24 V (terminal 37). On exterior doors that must stay locked during a fire, the night lock is connected to fire-controlled 24 V (terminal 40): it then stays locked, and the door is opened mechanically. This happens in the relays and works even if the access control system is out of service.
No. The outdoor elbow switch works only after the access control system has granted access (card, PIN or an approved REX), in a fire and during emergency release. The indoor elbow switch always works. It sends REX to the access control system and starts the door operator.
The access control system puts +24 V on the box’s night lock input when the night lock is to be locked, for example on a schedule. On valid access the night lock unlocks for as long as the access signal lasts, and locks again afterwards. In a fire it unlocks if it has constant 24 V (terminal 37). On exterior doors that must stay locked during a fire, the night lock is connected to fire-controlled 24 V (terminal 40), and it then stays locked.
Yes, each has its own terminal: a fail-safe lock (unlocked without power) on terminal 21, a fail-secure lock (locked without power) on terminal 23. A fail-safe lock releases on access, in a fire and on emergency release. A fail-secure lock is powered only during access and stays locked in a fire. Where the door must be free in a fire, we recommend a fail-safe lock.
The green break-glass emergency release cuts the box’s 0 V. The lock and hold-open magnet release, the night lock unlocks (with constant 24 V on terminal 37), and both elbow switches work. If no emergency release is used, a switch (DIP 8) on the board is set.
No. Enkel Boks 6 Par has 24 V relays and needs 24 V DC. If the installation has 12 V, Enkel Boks RJ45 is suitable; it takes 10–35 V DC.
The board is rated for current up to 4 A.
Enkel Boks 6 Par has been tested with 100 m of 6-pair cable. Two of the pairs carry the supply, so on longer runs the voltage drop must be taken into account. If you need a longer distance, choose Enkel Boks RJ45 with local supply; it has been tested at 300 m.
