Avigilon Alta Core – Smart Hub in the central cabinet

Enkel Boks 6 ParController in the central cabinetVersion V2.1

The Avigilon Alta Core Series Smart Hub (8-Port Board OP-EX-8E; the 4-Port OP-EX-4E is wired the same way) sits in the central cabinet on its own FPV power supply, while Enkel Boks has its own 24 V power supply; one 6-pair cable with all 12 conductors runs to the door. RELAY 2 is a dry NO contact to terminal 9, the night lock is controlled by the time relay, and the Avigilon Smart Reader sits on 13–16 with RS-485 through pair 6 and 24 V from the box. A black conductor from READER 2 GND to the box's 0 V is the required common 0 V.

  • Lock: OP-EX-8E RELAY 2 NO → terminal 9 (Black/grey, pair 5); RELAY 2 C gets +24 V from the power supply via time relay C and fire relay C.
  • Inputs: 5 (Black/green, pair 3) → I/O 3–4 GND, 6 (Green, pair 3) → I/O 3–4 REX, 7 (Black/brown, pair 4) → I/O 3–4 CONT. Input type REX and Contact, EOL None.
  • Reader bus: READER 2 A → terminal 11 → 13 (Avigilon −A), READER 2 B → 12 → 14 (+B).
  • Reader: Avigilon Smart Reader (12–24 V DC) on 13–16; Smart Reader v2 draws 0.12 A at 24 V. READER 2 12V is not used.
  • Common 0 V – required: OP-EX-8E READER 2 GND → 0 V on the box's power supply.
  • Fire: fire relay NC → terminal 8, not via FPV FAI.
  • Port 2 is shown; all ports (one port = one door) are wired the same way, each to its own Enkel Boks.

Avigilon Alta SDC – controller in the central cabinet

Enkel Boks 6 ParController in the central cabinetVersion V2.1

The Avigilon Alta Single Door Controller (OP-CR-SDC) sits in the central cabinet and runs on the same 24 V power supply as Enkel Boks, so common 0 V follows automatically; one 6-pair cable with all 12 conductors runs to the door. Relay 1 is set to «dry» and is a dry NO contact to terminal 9, the night lock is controlled by the time relay, and the Avigilon Smart Reader sits on 13–16 with RS-485 through pair 6 and 24 V from the box.

  • Power: SDC power in VDC/GND from the power supply in the central cabinet (24 V).
  • Only data runs in pair 6; Avigilon recommends max 91 m with CAT6 when power runs in one pair and 152 m with two power pairs, and 100 m is below 152 m.
  • Entry 2 is wired the same way to a separate Enkel Boks.
